ClothOff review: read the sharing rule before selecting a file

ClothOff is not a casual route for real-person photos. Its terms require permission for anyone shown, limit the service to personal and non-commercial use, and prohibit downloading or sharing generated content. Those conditions can make it unsuitable even before output quality matters.

The supplied link redirects to the current web app

On November 5, I opened the supplied clothoff.app referral link in desktop Chrome. It redirected to a clothoff.net/gen page whose shell exposed Gift, Roadmap, Profile and Notifications.

Stopped before input

I did not choose or upload an image. That means this check establishes the public destination and visible shell only—not free access, processing speed, output, download, deletion or billing behavior.

The terms prohibit more than non-consensual uploads

ClothOff’s Terms of Service, shown as updated February 12, 2025 and rechecked November 5, require users to have permission for other people’s images. They prohibit uploads without explicit consent and restrict the service to personal, non-commercial use.

The same terms say generated content must not be downloaded, reproduced, emailed, posted or otherwise shared. If your purpose is to export or distribute a result, the published terms make this a poor fit.

  • Do not use a real person’s photo without specific permission for this transformation.
  • Do not use minors, public figures, private individuals or scraped images.
  • Do not assume a visible download control would override the written no-download/no-sharing rule.

The no-storage claim does not cover every type of data

The Terms claim that image input is handled in browser cache for the active session and not retained on servers. The separate Privacy Policy still describes account email, cookies, browsing history, service partners and third-party payment processors.

The Terms also reserve manual and technical monitoring of service use and potential disclosure of activity logs for legal compliance. These statements can coexist because “input image” and “account or activity data” are not the same category.

I did not run a network inspection or deletion test. Treat the provider’s session-processing description as its claim, not an independent privacy audit.

Check location and refund eligibility before paying

The public site states that it does not operate in Ohio, and the Terms reserve additional geographic restrictions. Confirm that the service is lawful and available where you are before creating an account.

The Terms describe refund requests for direct website purchases within 14 calendar days, subject to a valid reason and potentially reduced for service use. I did not buy coins or a plan, request a refund or verify the current checkout terms.

Decision rule

If you need an exportable result, commercial use, a real-person workflow without documented consent, or independently verified local-only processing, do not proceed on the basis of the landing page.

Next step: decide whether the terms fit before choosing a file

Read the current permission, personal-use and no-sharing clauses. If they match your lawful purpose, use only a nonsensitive image you own and that depicts no other person. Stop if the live product asks for broader rights than you expect.
